Question: Does the Paleo Conservative movement have a political future. Can it capture political power
and bring about some form of counter-revoltion?
How can this be done? A third party with a clear
and comprehensive message?

Message: I don't see the current prospects for capturing political power, although I have no objection to a third party as a way of organizing efforts and placing the established liberal outlook in question. I do think it's important somehow to present a clear and comprehensive message.

Paleo Political Future: A proposed Strategy:
1. Form a political party from the Constitution Party, the Reform Party and several other similiar organisations. Name it The American Conservative Party.
2.Present a clearly defined and short platform consisting of three basic political objectives.
a. Foreign Policy: No alliances.
b. Defence: Defend U S Territory.
c. Tax: 10% Flat Tax starting at $10,000+1
Central to these objectives is an understanding of the role of the federal goverment as originally conceived; The 10th Amendment must be constantly quoted and explained.
Also,The historical foundation of this view must be explained. A short book summarising the above must be written (Conscience of a ConservativeII)
without the Cold War chapter; short, simple, profound truths easily digested.
These initial policies are not the total revolution but the first phase aimed at strategic targets.

Message: We had some other ideas in another thread. Do you like any of them?
I agree something short and punchy would be a good idea especially for a third party. Naturally, there has to be more in the background to be brought out when people ask questions. Do you think it would improve your formulation to combine 1 and 2, since they basically say the same thing? Maybe the platform could be something like:
1. Home defense.
2. 10% flat tax.
3. Power to the people (i.e., local control etc.)
