Message: Greetings,
I'm a little on the low end of my week so I wasn't able to fend off the arguments of one of my acquantinces concerning Christianity and Soldiering and how they are in opposition, in her view.
How does a Christian reconcile being a soldier for a secular state? Can one?
What I'm particularly looking for are quotes from the Gospels, the rest of the New Testament to theological and traditional reconciliation of these two things that seem in opposition.

Message: Here is a very good article on the subject that was written in response to the "Christian-Anarchist/Pacifist" claims after Sept.11 that Christians should take no part in defending their country.
