Subject: response to question 5 IP: Logged
Message: The validity of this reponse rests upon an incorrect assumption. The author states:
"Sexuality is the root of procreation, the family and the rearing of children, and thus of the continued existence and well-being of society."
As a result of widespread access to new medical technologies, sexuality is no longer connected directly to procreation.

Message: Not sure technology has much to do with it. Coitus interruptus and various forms of sodomy were always possibilities. Also, one could have always acquired a child by adoption. From the standpoint of the natural functioning of the human body though sexuality has to do with procreation just as the legs have to do with walking, the eye with seeing, the digestive tract with nutrition, etc., etc., etc.
