Mr. Kalb,
http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/john_paul_ii/apost_letters/documents/hf_jp-ii_apl_15081988_mulieris-dignitatem_en.html

I happened accross this 1988 letter from Pope John Paul II concerning the role of women in the church and society. It might be useful for your anti-feminism page.

Thanks for the suggestion - I posted something on my blog the past week arguing that orthodox Christianity has to accept various distinctions among people that modernity rejects. When I develop the argument I'll have to take JP II's views into account.

Mr. Kalb,
Are you still taking suggestions for the ARC source list? If so, you might want to consider Dostoevsky's _The Devils_ and _Notes from the Underground_. _The Devils_ is fundementally a political tract about revolutionaries turning lives into human wreckage and how no one will stop them. _Notes_ is a literary refutation of modern ideologies and their faith in man's reason. _Notes_ is available online as an e-text. I haven't found _The Devils_ yet.

If you have suggestions I'll take them. The Devils is a good one and I'm surprised I don't have it already--it's also called The Possessed and may be available under that name. If you find the URL do let me know.

A really good site for any pro-feminist page would be Letter to Women by none other than John Paul II, written for the United Nations' conference on women in Beijing in 1995. In the document the pope writes, "I wish to express my deep appreciation to the United Nations for having sponsored this very significant event." It's a real gem.
