I know, I already posed the question here:

but I don't know if anyone noticed that, so I thought I'd make a new post of it.

I for one have not read it, Will. Whether I shall or not, I don't know -- I doubt it, because when you already agree with an author's representation of a grave social problem that's not being fixed by anyone, it can be painful to be reminded of it again so vividly as he surely lays it out in his work. I have no doubt it's an excellent book and piece of scholarship. Having read articles by Huntington and reviews of his book I would say I already agree with everything in it, in what I'd consider to be their essentials. I'm at the point now where I feel, "OK, let's stop talking about it, let's start getting it fixed." At this point, a book like Huntington's is more for "undecideds" than someone like me -- people who still need convincing. I was convinced long ago. (If I do get around to reading it, I'll post my reaction to it here.)

True enough, Fred, I don't imagine I'll read it either, for the same reasons, but if any Pro et Contra regulars are familiar with it, I'd like to know what they think, so I can discuss it with potential "converts" to traditionalist conservatism, even if I can't give it my personal recommendation, since I haven't read it, I can at least say that I've heard it recommended...
