Comments on the pictures? Any comments on the pictures I've posted at the head of this forum? Like most depictions of men and women together they symbolize any number of things. The ones on the left are 16th c. French nobility, the ones on the right Aristotle and Phyllis. Jim Kalb |

Re: Comments on the pictures? Pardon the humour but I think I would rather be the fellow in the left picture as opposed to the one in the right The Redneck Penguin. Deo Vindice. Resurgam |

the one on left I dont have much respect for Aristotle, but the one on the left is rather good. |

Re: the one on left What's wrong with Aristotle? Anyone can become the butt of scandalous stories told by henpecked husbands trying to justify their own situation. Glad you like the one on the left though. Jim Kalb |

Aristotle Bought the feminist line, that Aristotle hated women. Well, looked over some of his Politics, and was very surprised to find various things that were not at all hateful, or snooty. Gee, maybe feminists aren't as knowledgeable as they fancy themselves. |

Re: Aristotle I've never read feminists on Aristotle. I suppose one issue would be that A. looked for the reason implicit in accepted understandings and that kind of approach isn't helpful for feminism. Jim Kalb |
