This will get me branded a racist but I believe that unless and until we confront the race issue with openness and honesty we will never arrive at a solution. I understand that the terms of service of this board might force the moderator to delete this post. Even though I do not agree with this sort of restriction I do understand the Moderator's predicament. Figures from the United States Department of Justice 1991: 100 rapes were committed by whites against blacks. 20,204 rapes were committed by blacks against whites. 7,031 robberies were committed by whites against blacks. 167,924 robberies were committed by blacks against whites. 49,800 assaults by whites against blacks. 431,670 assaults by blacks against whites. 55,301 violent crimes were committed by blacks against whites. 572,438 violent crimes were committed by blacks against whites. Please remember that blacks make up only 12.5% of the population of the U.S. Conviction rates were LOWER for BLACKS than for whites in 12 of 14 felony categories according to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics. Is there a race war? If so, who is fighting it? According to the Dallas Morning News 8 July 1998 A study reveals that blacks absorb more nicotine from cigarettes which may explain why they have higher rates of lung cancer. According to the AP Newswire (as reported in the Midland (TX) Reporter-Telegram Strokes are one of the leading causes of death among black men. Black men are twice as likely to die from a stroke as white men. Scientist uncovered a genetic mutation believed to cause this phenomenon. Dallas Morning News 2 April 1998... In a military setting where everybody has equal access to health care black women still had a higher death rate from breast cancer than white women. Black women had a five year mortality rate of 24.77% and white women had a five year mortality rate of 18.08% Now I have a few more statistics that I have gathered over the years but I will refrain from posting them at this time to see if anyone is interested in continuing this discussion. Re: This will get me branded Obviously there's a lot of gross dishonesty about everything connected with race. It seems to me the best thing would be to restrict immigration radically and get rid of the antidiscrimination laws. (I hope it goes without saying, but maybe it doesn't since discussion of these issues is so bizarre, that the ordinary laws for the enforcement of contracts, against murder, etc. should be enforced equally for all.) If that were done accommodations among various ethnic groups could be worked out, people could deal with the people they found most rewarding to deal with, and troubled communities would be put more on their own resources, which I think would be beneficial to them at least as much as to others. Another major benefit would be that if there were no requirement that 27% of all brain surgeons be Bulgarian when 27% of the population is Bulgarian there would be no particular demand for theories why the requirement isn't met, which always make people very annoyed with each other.
