Humanist Manifesto III? I've been hearing news that the yahoos at the American Humanist Association are gearing up to publish yet another Humanist Manifesto. This will be the third manifesto calling for such nefarious ideas as socialism, the abolition of religion, and one world government. No doubt they'll jump on the gay and animal rights (or maybe the infanticide and pedophilia) bandwagon with this one. Perhaps it will be techno-utopian. It seems to me that the need for them to keep changing it is proof that what's supposedly rational today may not be viewed as such in the future (Communism anyone?). Does anyone know where a traditionalist critique of HM I or II can be found? |

Re: Humanist Manifesto III? Jason: The first one that comes to mind is the late Francis Schaefer's Christian (also called anti-Humanist) Manifesto. Incidentally, Schaefer's son, Franky, is a very renowned Orthodox writer. (I noticed in an earlier post you pointed out being Orthodox.) Jim Langcuster |
